Welcome to Day 24 of the Blogging from A-Z Challenge. Just a quick introduction: my name is Elissa Kane, and I am an indie author working on my first mystery novel, A Deadly Melody, which is book 1 of the Fallen Rockstar series.

If you want to find out why I chose this theme, please check out my Blogging from A-Z Challenge theme reveal post.
Now, onto the letter X. . .

Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer-songwriter and one half of the ’80s duo the Eurythmics.
In the ’70s, Annie won a place at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied the flute, piano and harpsichord. In the ’80s, she joined Dave Stewart to form the Eurythmics, which resulted in her most notable fame. The Eurythmics released a long line of singles, including “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”,”There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart)”, “Love Is A Stranger”, “Here Comes the Rain Again”, “Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves”, “Who’s That Girl?”, “Would I Lie to You?”, “Missionary Man”, “You Have Placed a Chill in My Heart”, “Thorn in My Side”, “The Miracle of Love” and “Don’t Ask Me Why”.
While the Eurythmics never officially disbanded, Annie began her solo career in the early ’90s. Her debut solo début album, Diva was a commercial and critical success, charting No. 1 in the U.K. and No. 23 in the U.S. where it went double platinum.
Over her 40+ year career, Annie has won eight Brit Awards, collected four Grammy Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, a Billboard Century Award, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

I absolutely love Annie Lennox. Annie and the Eurythmics are scattered throughout the entire Fallen Rockstar series. Some of the songs that appear up on my A Deadly Melody playlist and throughout the entire Fallen Rockstar series include “I Save the World Today”, “Sisters are Doin’ It For Themselves”, “Here Comes the Rain Again”, “17 Again”, “A Thousand Beautiful Things”, “Why”, “No More I Love You’s”, “Love Song for a Vampire”, and one of my favorites, “Erased” are all included on my novel playlist.
