2019 Blogging From A-Z Challenge: W is for Florence Welch

Welcome to Day 23 of the Blogging from A-Z Challenge. Just a quick introduction: my name is Elissa Kane, and I am an indie author working on my first mystery novel, A Deadly Melody, which is book 1 of the Fallen Rockstar series.

If you want to find out why I chose this theme, please check out my Blogging from A-Z Challenge theme reveal post.

Now, onto the letter W. . .

Florence Welch

Florence is the lead singer of the indie rock band Florence + The Machine.

While growing up in south London, Florence performed in school plays and sang in two bands prior to Florence + the Machine. Her mother is a professor of Renaissance studies, which influenced Florence’s music videos and live shows. In 20017, Florence and art-school friend Isabella Summers formed Florence + the Machine.

Over the past ten years, Florence + the Machine has released four albums, won a Brit Award, been nominated for a Grammy Award, and reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot 200 Album Chart.

Florence Welch on A Deadly Melody playlist

Florence’s melodic songs, strong vocals, and poetic lyrics are scattered throughout the entire Fallen Rockstar series. Some of the songs that appear up on my A Deadly Melody playlist and throughout the entire Fallen Rockstar series include “What Kind of Man”, “St. Jude”, “Leave My Body”, “Heavy in Your Arms”, “Breath of Life”, and one of my favorites, “Howl” are all included on my novel playlist.
