Welcome to Day 17 of the Blogging from A-Z Challenge. Just a quick introduction: my name is Elissa Kane, and I am an indie author working on my first mystery novel, A Deadly Melody, which is book 1 of the Fallen Rockstar series.

If you want to find out why I chose this theme, please check out my Blogging from A-Z Challenge theme reveal post.
Now, onto the letter Q. . .
Stevie Nicks – The Queen of Rock

What is there to say about Stevie Nicks that hasn’t already been said? She is the lead singer of one of the biggest rock bands of all time, a Grammy Award winning artist, has been named one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time, named one of the world’s top 100 Greatest Singers of All Time, and is the only female to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. Not to mention the fact that she is one badass female rocker.
“Every band should have a girl in it” ~ Stevie Nicks
I couldn’t agree more, Stevie!
Not only has Stevie’s music influenced many but so has her fashion. She is well known for her platform boots, flowing dresses, tunics, and elaborate shawls, which she calls her “uniform”. According to Wikipedia, it is known as a “witchy kind of look that goes with her songs and performances.”

Stevie and Fleetwood Mac on A Deadly Melody playlist
Stevie and Fleetwood Mac are all over my A Deadly Melody playlist and the entire Fallen Rockstar series. So many songs that Stevie and Fleetwood Mac have recorded can be found somewhere on my Fallen Rockstar series playlists. Some of the songs that can be found on my A Deadly Melody playlist are “Gypsy”, “Leather and Lace”, “Stand Back”, “Bella Donna”, “Dreams”, “Rhiannon”, “Landslide”, and “The Chain.”
Stevie is also a huge inspiration for my main character, Elle. Her songs “After the Glitter Fades”, “Gold Dust Woman”, and “Sara” are especially important to Elle.
“My mission maybe wasn’t to be a mom and a wife; maybe my particular mission was to write songs to make moms and wives feel better.” ~ Stevie Nicks
