2019 Blogging From A-Z Challenge: P is for Poe

Welcome to Day 16 of the Blogging from A-Z Challenge. Just a quick introduction: my name is Elissa Kane, and I am an indie author working on my first mystery novel, A Deadly Melody, which is book 1 of the Fallen Rockstar series.

If you want to find out why I chose this theme, please check out my Blogging from A-Z Challenge theme reveal post.

Now, onto the letter P. . .

Anne Decatur Danielewski aka Poe is a singer, songwriter, and record producer. Poe released her first album Hello in 1995, which became a critically acclaimed hit. For her second record, Haunted, which is such an amazing album, Poe blends Alternative and pop rock into a haunting sound.

Unfortunately, Poe and her record label entered into a legal battle in 2000, which lasted years. As a result of that battle, Poe never released a followup to Haunted. Her songs have been used in films and commercials, and in 2015 her song “Hey Pretty” showcased Tom Ford’s Autumn/Winter womenswear collection.

Poe on A Deadly Melody’s playlist

There are a few songs that pop up on my A Deadly Melody playlist and throughout the entire Fallen Rockstar series. “Hello”, “Beautiful Girl”, “Wild”, “Haunted”, and my absolute favorite “Control” are all included on my novel playlist.

You can listen to Poe and all of the singers from the A-Z Challenge on my Spotify playlist below:
