2019 Blogging from A-Z Challenge: F is for Lacey Sturm/Flyleaf

Welcome to Day 6 of the Blogging from A-Z Challenge. Just a quick introduction: my name is Elissa Kane, and I am an indie author working on my first mystery novel, A Deadly Melody, which is book 1 of the Fallen Rockstar series.

If you want to find out why I chose this theme, please check out my Blogging from A-Z Challenge theme reveal post.

Now, onto the letter F. . .

There are so many amazing female singers and many of them share the same letters. I have had to take a some liberty to make them all fit within the challenge and have moved some into different letters, which is what has happened today.

Lacey Sturm is the former lead singer of the Christian hard rock band Flyleaf, and yet another female Christian rock singer from the state of Florida. Lacey began singing in 2000 and in 2002 formed Flyleaf. She sang with Flyleaf for ten years, and in 2012 left the group to write her first book.

Lacey has an amazing testimony on becoming a Christian and has written three books on her life as a Christian: The Mystery, The Reason, and The Return.

In 2016, Lacey released her first solo album, Life Screams, which made her the first solo female to top the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart with her debut release.

Lacey Sturm on A Deadly Melody playlist

Lacey Sturm’s Life Screams album is so important to A Deadly Melody playlist and my entire Fallen Rockstar series that every song is somewhere on my playlists. “The Soldier”, “Impossible”, “Rot” and my absolute favorite “Life Screams” are all on the A Deadly Melody playlist.

On my series playlists are also many Flyleaf songs “Bury Your Heart”, “All Around Me”, “Again”, “Missing”, and “Chasm”, and a couple of songs that Lacey has appeared on with other bands “Take the Bullets Away” with We As Human and “Unleashed Beyond” with Skillet.

I think it is safe to say that I am a huge Lacey Sturm fan!
